Haha it just popped in my brain. 😁 but it wasn’t intended to be an angry remark. Just silly.

Thank you for helping me to remember what matters. I love bell hooks: "Patriarchy has no gender. We are all hurt by it. Feminism is not about hating men—it is about challenging a system that privileges domination, violence, and control over love, connection, and mutual respect." —

And you! xo

Dear Sil, Thank you so much for reading. I love that line from bell hooks. She is the boss. Missing you these days. Did you see The Tickle String and Forbidden? Might be my favorites so far—where is this coming from? Love you

This is wonderful! So many inspiring, thoughtful words from magnificent women, yourself included. Two thoughts: 1) what an exceptional household of interesting women! 🩵 2) Have you heard of extinction bursts? It gives me hope that the violent right-wing pushback we are currently experiencing is the last tantrum of this horrific colonialist, capitalist, patriarchy. 🤞🏼

Take it with a grain of salt as the MSN writer did who warns against thinking we can assume what a demented criminal president would do.

Prajna,

This is an amazing essay, with wonderful quotes and timelines. So much of your essay resonated with me. I love when you say, "Feminism cannot only serve middle and upper-class white women." It's true: feminism must serve all women -- even those who are marginalized.

A long time ago I was misguided into thinking that feminism was an anti-male sentiment. But now I know that this is not true. Women have made such a huge impact on the world, and they deserve to be treated as equal to men.

Thank you so much for this.

Loved this Prajna! Especially the section on the primodial woman. Related to and felt every representation. She is more than archetypal, she is real, palpable, present, eternal! Pure existence as life! Passionate and alive, a beautiful reciprocity that is generated by her giving and receiving as the cycles themselves.

Loved all the quotes too! “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.” That is so right on! And yeah to menstruation leave in Spain! Right on!
